Outgoing President Joe Biden's cordiality toward President-elect Donald Trump
has seemingly triggered leftists with Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS).
The former 45th and incoming 47th president
visited the White House on Wednesday, Nov 13, and met with his Democratic predecessor. Trump thanked the outgoing 46th chief executive for facilitating a smooth transition, with Biden returning the favor.
A report by
NBC News elaborated on the two former rivals. Trump and Biden appeared briefly for pictures, but did not respond to questions shouted by members of the media present. The two then met privately for a "substantive" sit-down that lasted more than 90 minutes.
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said Biden and Trump discussed the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip and the Israeli hostages abducted by Hamas during its Oct. 7 Operation Al-Aqsa Flood attack. They also discussed the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war, something Trump promised to end if reelected. Jean-Pierre also said the two discussed government funding, emergency disaster assistance and how to ensure an "orderly" and "peaceful" transfer of power come Jan. 20. (Related:

First Lady Jill Biden also extended her felicitations to Trump, giving the president-elect a handwritten letter of congratulations for his wife Melania. According to the outgoing first lady's office, her team has expressed readiness to assist with the transition.
The outgoing Democratic president wrote in a post on X Wednesday: "Today, I met with President-elect Trump in the Oval Office. I look forward to leading a smooth transition and peaceful transfer of power. As I told the President-elect, my team is committed to doing everything we can to ensure the incoming administration has what they need."
"Trump visited the White House … and Biden was actually nice to him, something rabid TDS carriers couldn't handle," wrote Steve Watson of
Modernity News. "Biden was cordial; surprising, given the fact that he called Trump a threat to democracy for four years."
Biden gets even with Kamala by being kind to Trump
"Perhaps after the coup and also being rejected by [outgoing Vice President] Kamala Harris' disastrous campaign, he just gives zero f***s. Leftists just couldn't bear it," Watson continued, citing several examples from X.
Author Tara Dublin began the condemnation, writing: "Sir, you welcomed a fascist convicted felon into the White House who does not deserve one iota of your kindness. Trump conspired with [Russian President] Vladimir Putin and [X owner] Elon Musk to steal the election. We should be fighting fascism instead of enabling it."
Drummer Bobby Duthu was also vocal with his rebuke of the outgoing president. He wrote: "I appreciate your lifetime of service, and in particular, your selfless and patriotic sacrifice to allow Harris to run against Trump.
"This son-of-a-b***h has vowed to act as a dictator, up to and including taking a sledge hammer to the values of our nation, and threatening his version of Hitler's infamous 'night of the long-knives' – and all you can come up with is, 'My team is committed to doing everything we can to ensure the incoming administration has what they need.'
"This is unacceptable behavior and conduct unbecoming a president of the United States, and I couldn't be more disappointed. Accordingly, it pains me to say – shame on you."
But journalist Michael Tracey pointed out that the cordial Wednesday meeting between Trump and Biden contrasted with the Democrats' hateful rhetoric against the president-elect. "After screaming fascism and death to democracy, the [outgoing] Democratic administration politely facilitates the transition to power of the person they just got done saying is a cataclysmic tyrant," he wrote on X.
